This recipe is from one of our member's mother - we hope you like it.
- 6 cups of water
- 2 bars of piloncillo
- 3 whole cloves
- 2 anise stars
- 1 stick of cinnamon
- 4 teaspoons of fresh grounded Chiapas coffee (Colombian coffee can also work)
In a tall sauce pan add the water, piloncillo, cloves, cinnamon and anise stars.
Bring to a boil and leave it for 5 minutes.
After the 5 minutes add the coffee and stir (this is for the coffee to release its flavors and for the piloncillo to fully dissolve). Taste for sweetness and flavor.
